It is reported that this is considering cutting off the patriotic stapover after the Black Lives Matter protests, and that restrictions are seen as an opportunity to make a difference.
The shrinking size, social distancing and reduced audience of the band make the dance of 2020 very different from previous years.

A source told the Sunday Times: “Dalia is a strong supporter of Black Lives Matter and he believes a ceremony without an audience is the best time to bring about change.

Chi-Chi Nwanoku, founder of the Chinese Orchestra, an orchestra of musicians predominantly black, Asian, and racially diverse, said she didn’t understand why she thought it was a good idea to restore songs that many people find offensive.
