All Blacks: Two Wales star players to refused of big test in Cardiff
Welsh coach Wayne Pivac will not be able to select protagonists Dan Biggar and Taulupe Faletau for the October 31 match at Cardiff the All Blacks.
New Zealander Pivac replaced Warren Gatland after 2019 World Cup in Japan, taking Wales to the Six Nations crown this year. He was told that because the match with the All Blacks was out of the world, he could not choose to sign the rugby international window for players of the British club.
The New Zealand Rugby Association and the Welsh Rugby Union
have agreed to test at the Principality Stadium, which can seat 70,000 people
and earn millions of dollars from broadcasts, ticket revenues, and sponsorship
revenues.
Although All Blacks coach Ian Foster's contract will run until the end of this year, and he hopes New Zealand The rugby team will extend their tenure until the 2023 World Cup, but in Cardiff
Pivac. Brodie Retallick and Beauden Barrett should have won in his line-up
without enough players to choose from.
Since Foster took charge of the team in
2020, Lock Retallick has not played for the All Blacks. He decided to activate
a clause in the deal with New Zealand Rugby that would allow him to compete in
the best club matches in Japan after the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
Former eight-fifth / fullback Barrett also
competed in the top league this year, although he declined to represent the
Blues in 2021, he will return to the Blues next year.
Both should be able to participate in the All Blacks' domestic test against Italy and Fiji in July.
While this is no consolation to Pivac, he will at least know
to prepare for the All Blacks test as he won't be able to consider signing with
Biggar or Faletau at Northampton and Bath clubs respectively.
Luis Gloucester and the top five Callum Sheedy (Bristol) have
also signed with Premier League clubs, so Pivac won't consider it.
Given their performances in the club and the country, Biggar
and Faletau will both compete in the eight games of the British and Irish Lions
in South Africa in July and August.
Pundit Stuart Barnes (Pundit Stuart Barnes) was the 10th
tester for the Lions and the English club. Due to his toughness and recent acts
in Northampton, he promoted Biggar as the top five for Lion's name.
Wales has not hosted an All Blacks team since 2017. The two
teams met for the last time in the bronze medal match of the Tokyo World Cup
2019, and the All Blacks won 40-17.
Since the famous
13-8 victory in Cardiff in 1953, Wales has never defeated all blacks.
I hope the fans can take part in the test at Cardiff Stadium later this
year.
"There is no doubt this is a huge autumn series fixture
list and we are already looking forward to it, especially with the prospect of
having supporters back at Principality Stadium," said Pivac.
"It would be close to 21 months since we have had the
chance to play in front of our fans at our home stadium, so it is hugely
exciting to have the fixtures announced and I hope it excites the rugby public.
"It will be a big campaign against quality opposition,
but we see it as another opportunity to test ourselves while we continue on our
journey to France 2023.’’
