Babylonstoren associates with Chelsea Flower Show

The 2021 Mourvèdre rosé from Babylonstoren in South Africa has been named the official rosé for this year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

The annual summer flower show takes place from May 17-23, before the official return from September 21-26.

 According to the estate, the Babylonstoren's 2021 rosé is `` dry and elegant, with rose petals, raspberry and watermelon flavors, and rhubarb cream. ''

The Mourvèdre used in rosé wines was harvested by hand in February - due to the cool weather, the harvest was later than normal - the 2021 harvest was huge.

 The estate produced approximately 170,000 bottles of wines from 2021. It is best to enjoy this easy-to-drink wine within 18 months to take full advantage of the flavors of fresh fruit.

To commemorate the partnership with the English-language the event, the front of the bottle will mark the pink color as the official pink of the Chelsea Flower Show in 2021.

The salmon pink rosé wine costs £14.90 per bottle and will shine at the September Fair in West London.

It will also open at the RHS Garden Wisley garden center in May and will be available online through The Newt on the Somerset website (Babylonstoren's sister's house).

Babylonstoren is a farm, winery, and hotel in the Cape Dutch, with a guest cabin and two farm-to-table restaurants in the Franschhoek Valley.

The property has an eight-acre garden - Africa's only RHS cooperative garden - which dates back to 1692 and was redesigned a decade ago by the current owners, who turned the estate into a popular tourist attraction.

The French-designed garden features vegetable gardens, orchards, orchards, native plants, beehives, prickly pear mazes, and trees of historical and botanical significance. The estate has 217 acres of land under the vines and is planted with 13 grape varieties.
