Joe Marler responded to Kyran Bracken after the 2003 winner criticized the loose number one infamous pre-2019 RWC final
Joe Marler gave a simple answer to England's World Cup winner Kyran Bracken, who recently joined the leader in 2019 along with Dan Cole. The interview with the World Cup final described it as "embarrassing".

In an interview with Clive Woodward's "Daily Mail", Bracken and his former coach discussed England's recent downturn at the 2003 Guinness World Cup. Ward stressed that Africa should be explored after England's last loss to the South in the World Cup.
This prompted Bracken to refer to
the controversial interview with Cole and Mahler on the eve of the Yokohama
final, in which he compared his comparison with England for the 2003 final a week before 2019 final.
“I saw Joe Mahler-Dan Cole's
press conference very embarrassing."
You asked all of us to give you another week, and you can concentrate
for seven more days. Without distraction. This is very important."
Marler posted a succinct reply on
Twitter, marking Bracken as a sleeping emoji in his post, but this tweet has
been removed.
This is the first time that the Harlequins prop has not fought back after the stance put forward in the preliminary investigation. Woodward had previously criticized this, and Mahler also made a similar rebuttal.
Although the interview mentioned England's plight in 2021,
the crux of the conversation between Woodward and Bracken is the head injury in
rugby and the issues facing the former half-man in his career and after
retirement. Bracken is one of the few athletes to have recently provided
evidence to the Digital, Cultural, Media, and Sports Commission at the Sports
Inquiry Concussion.
