The 29-year-old England Center joined the Gallagher Premiership club last July with a short-term deal, but before that, after 10 years of service with the Leicester Tigers, the contract ended abruptly.
Tuilagi had the opportunity to move abroad this summer, but
his family has settled in the Northwest and he has built a strong relationship
with Alex Sanderson, who became Salle's rugby director three months ago.
The 29-year-old is about to fully recover from an Achilles
injury five months ago. Last summer he joined Sale from Leicester for
short-term arrangements.
He won 43 caps and toured Australia with the British and
Irish Lions in 2013.
Manu Tuilagi added, “Because whether on the
track or off the track, the sales boys is great, and the environment created by
the coaches and employees are the same for me.
“So, we are on the right way, and linking the club is a very thrilling time. I can't wait to get back on the scene as soon as possible."
Tuilagi
took salsa training while recovering from the injury. Tuilagi said, “It's a little bit
different, but we want to get excited about recovery, so I don't do calf
exercises in the gym all day.
'So we invited someone to teach me, and I
really like it. I like it, but I have no chance to continue. '
Looks like Tuilagi will return to the Sale
finals, which is against Bristol, Exeter, Harlequins, and Northampton, etc.
Possibility to compete for the top four.
Sales Rugby Director Alex Sanderson said: “In
terms of the environment, he (Tuilagi) is the best on the team, not only for
the older guys but also for the younger ones. The same goes for the guys.
