Manchester United is just over a week away from the EL final and United’s are still waiting on the fitness of their skipper Maguire. Manchester United Tickets are given below.
After Ole Gunnar Solskjaer comments
about the importance of Maguire to Man
Utd it's a surprise the skipper has only been wearing a protective boot
this week, instead of a layer of cotton wool instead.

If anyone didn't know it previously,
consecutive Old Trafford losses to Liverpool and Leicester City have made it
clear just how valuable Harry Maguire is to this side.
A run of 72 successive starts in
the Premier League had shown the confidence Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had in his skipper,
but the supporters haven't always warmed to Harry Maguire, who has had to manage
with the pressure of being the world's most expensive defender while relaxing
into a new level of inspection and pressure.
However as this season has advanced
Harry Maguire has walked up to the challenge and any doubts that he's the glue
holding this defense together were dismissed in the space of little more than
48 hours at Old Trafford.
Man Utd made 6 goals in 180 minutes
against Liverpool and Leicester City, suffering back-to-back Premier League losses
for the 1st time since January 2020. Deprived of the commanding presence of Harry
Maguire the centre-backs looked unclear and the partnership of Eric Bailly and
Victor Lindelof didn't satisfy on Thursday night.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Comments
As Ole Gunnar Solskjaer addressed
on Sunday - in a news session to preview a EL final still 10 days away -
players can often get better when they're not playing and that's been the case
with Harry Maguire this week.
Harry Maguire was keeping his hurt
ankle well sheltered while watching from the stands on Tuesday and Thursday and
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has exposed the extreme caution the Red Devils are taking
with the injury, with all eyes on a path of recovery that ends with the skipper
leading his team out in Gdansk on 26th May.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer clarified "He’s
making progress, but we’re consciously taking the route of not testing him out
too early or too quickly. We don’t want to aggravate something. Harry wants
this so much, so he doesn’t want to take any risks either".
Gunnar Solskjaer knows the Red
Devils probabilities of winning the EL are improved considerably with Harry Maguire
in the team. He probably knew that a week ago, but now most Man Utd fans are persuaded
of it too.
Solskjaer said "I will give
him as long as it takes because he has shown his importance. We’ve known it all
along but maybe some people open their eyes more when he’s not playing".
"I certainly felt I became a
very good player when I was injured. People suddenly realized what I could do
as a sub or what I was as a player.”
"Harry Maguire has
been our leader, and our captain ever since he came in he’s been more or less
ever-present so of course he’s a big miss at the moment but hopefully he’ll
speed up the recovery and be ready for the final. I’ll give him as long as he needs
until he says yes or no."
