Ireland Under-20s hurt double injury blow forward of opener
Injuries forced Richie Murphy to make two adjustments to his Irish squad for the opening game of the Under-20 Six Nations against Scotland.

Murphy last week named his 34-man squad to the 2021 Wales Championship, but hooker Lee Barron and Ben Murphy were ruled out due to injuries.

Levi Vaughan and Will Reilly, who attended the Irish U20
Talent Training Camp at the IRFU High-Performance Center last month, has been
named as replacements.
For their first game against Scotland in Cardiff on Saturday
at 2 pm, the two will travel with the team as they leave Dublin on Thursday.
Barron and Murphy joined hooker Tom Stewart, half-winger Cian
Whooley and second-row Joe McCarthy were unable to participate in the
tournament due to injuries.
Murphy said: "It's a double blow to misplace Lee and Ben
so close in our first match, it’s always unlucky when a player is absent due to
injury.
“But this is a great opportunity for the two players coming
in now. We are very well prepared for many of the five-day camps at the IRFU
High-Performance Center.

"We
know it will be tough against Scotland, but we are looking forward to the start
of the Six Nations, championship and the team is very joyful to be able to spread
Cardiff and take on the tasks ahead."
After the start of the game against Scotland, Ireland will
meet England on June 25 (kick-off at 8 p.m.) and England on July 1 (kick-off at
8 p.m.).
The 2019 champions will play against Italy on July 7
(kick-off at 2 p.m.) and against France on July 13 (kick-off at 4 p.m.), ending
the competition of Six Nations under-20s.
The Irish U20 team playing against Scotland will be named on
Friday.
