Ireland Under-20s hurt double injury blow forward of opener

Injuries forced Richie Murphy to make two adjustments to his Irish squad for the opening game of the Under-20 Six Nations against Scotland.

Murphy last week named his 34-man squad to the 2021 Wales Championship, but hooker Lee Barron and Ben Murphy were ruled out due to injuries.

After the start of the game against Scotland, Ireland will meet England on June 25 (kick-off at 8 p.m.) and England on July 1 (kick-off at 8 p.m.).

The 2019 champions will play against Italy on July 7 (kick-off at 2 p.m.) and against France on July 13 (kick-off at 4 p.m.), ending the competition of Six Nations under-20s.

The Irish U20 team playing against Scotland will be named on Friday.
