NFL London: The Dolphins are delighted with Albert Wilson's early off-season performance
Just a few months ago, the Miami Dolphins wide receiver Albert Wilson appeared to be on the list. The Dolphins are on the cusp of a revamp in the wide receiver room. Wilson has a high salary for the 2021 season and seems like a logical member on the chopping block. What will be different in a few months?

There's still a lot of work to be done, but it appears Wilson has heeded the call regarding his status as a viable member of the host the company, as indicated by a recent report by Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson. According to Jackson, Miami Dolphins is very pleased with Wilson's health and early performance, and is even considering expanding his role in the passing game, including representing players on the outside.
"The Dolphins are very happy with receiver Albert Wilson's
performance during the off-season program and have even used him outdoors as
Jaylen Waddle plans to become their top receiver." Barry Jackson, Miami
Herald.
This is Miami
Dolphins' remarkable development in several areas. If the team gets a
follow-up and finds room for Wilson in the perimeter, rookie Jaylen Waddle will
be released to get a higher percentage of snapshots from the slot, which was
the position he used most in Alabama last year. Plus, more Wilson on the
perimeter is bad news for geniuses like Preston Williams, who don't offer much
special team value at the moment, and after joining Waddle and Fuller, the wide receiver position is low.
All in all, more competition is a good thing. If Wilson can live up to the standard that keeps his salary up, the Dolphins will no doubt be excited after the team had a tough season as a wide receiver last year.
The training camp is the biggest test. But, at least for now,
this is an important development as Miami tries to clean up the overcrowded
reception space in 2021.
