Costelow was very mature on the tee, hitting five penalties and one drop to ensure the champions host won 25-8 in Cardiff.

Wales
were behind Ion Neculai's attempt in the 14th minute as both teams got a player
off the field, but a penalty attempt was made and Scarlet's half-court boot
turned the game around.
While
the performance was far from perfect, the Wales team led to two yellow cards
for lax discipline, but Cunningham was pleased with the result, especially
Costelow's game management.
It
is very important for us to try and gain momentum in the tournament," said
the Welsh Under-20 coach.
"It
will be a different kind of challenge and it will be a tough challenge (Friday
against Ireland). Their style is different from the Italians and they have a
wider range of games."

"We've been tested a lot by their game and so it's going
to be tough and their performance against Scotland, and their frontcourt is attractive
strong.
Wales is not the only team working hard to please the umpires
at Arms Park, Italy also has its own disciplinary problems, including three
yellow cards in the first half.
While a lack of playing time and conditions are contributing
factors, Cunningham stressed that if Wales wants to compete with top teams, it
needs to be calmer.
"Which can deficiency unity in the least amount of
playing time and I hope this is a back-to-back combination of positive factors,"
Cunningham said.
"Some disciplinary problems and back to back with the
Italians on the pitch, we've done some good things, and then we've combined it
with negatives.
"We have to resolve those things then I consider we will
be in a good position."
Like Costelow, Deaves was another outstanding performer for
the Wales team on Saturday, winning the Six Nations Player of the Year Award
for his diligent all-around performance.

Cunningham
said the Ospreys flanker players were one of the main drivers of the win,
further demonstrating that Wales has room for growth potential in the coming
weeks.
"He's
always been great. He left everything to us on the pitch, didn't he? You can
tell by his performance, he put his heart and soul into everything," he
added.
